It was a great pleasure working with Walinda. She did excellent work for me. Her consistency and staying on message was amazing. Her designs were awesome. I’ve always been hesitant to have someone else do this work for me because I was afraid it would be so obvious it wasn’t me posting.

I can honestly say it was an excellent decision. Not only did it free up some time for me to focus on clients but our presence on social media is starting to expand.

I’m so thankful for the great service and her diligence.

For a period of time, I had the privilege of having my social media managed by Walinda Alleman. Prior to her beginning this task, Walinda met with me to discuss my needs and to talk about my vision for my work (writing and speaking). Walinda also sent me an initial needs assessment survey to complete. The survey was most helpful as it did prompt me to really evaluate my goals and to be intentional about my message and my use of social media. Walinda asked me too for a list of my most favorite writers/thinkers as well as any quotes from them that I am particularly fond of; she said all of this would help her capture my voice more accurately—and I do feel like she succeeded in doing precisely that!

Even as a former professor, I have historically been resistant to social media for at least a couple of reasons. I tend to be “old-school” in general, and I have never been formally schooled in Facebook and other forms of more modern-day media; thus, Walinda did have a hard student on her hands. She taught me over time, though, the importance of being open to using the many different social media tools available in order to gain a broader following and thus share my message on a bigger stage. And this was and is a most excellent lesson! As she “schooled” me, she taught me much about things that might seem small but were indeed big to me—like how much more people tend to respond to pictures and words versus just words. In sharing frequent and consistent quotes from my favorite writers along with pictures that did bring these quotes and writers to life, Walinda increased my Facebook engagement/readership tremendously. And she also helped me gain much confidence in my own writing by pulling quotes from that and sharing those as well, along with a visual that also brought them to life for
the reader/follower. In doing this, she taught me the importance of sharing the content of timeless works/writers and my own work too.

At the end of the period during which Walinda managed my social media, she also sent me a video audit summarizing the results of what she did and giving me some thoughts to consider in my social media future. I feel that Walinda did a most excellent job and, if my work as a writer/speaker could be more of a focal point for our family right now, we would hire her without hesitation to continue to manage my social media.
